Learning the Basics: Fusing and Slumping in Glass 10/10, 17, 24th
In this 3 week workshop, you will learn the basics and be introduced to many fundamental concepts related to glass. You will use various forms of glass such as powdered glass, sheet glass, frit and stringer glass. You will explore fusing, slumping, cold working and stenciling. Each week you will explore a new technique and make a project. Space is limited for individual attention and taught by
Alice Benvie Gebhart certified teacher and internationally known glass artist.
There is no need for any previous experience. Just your excitement to learn something new is required! You will walk away with several completed projects and the knowledge to create beautiful glass pieces on your own.
If you aren't new to fusing, this workshop is a great way to get back to glass. Explore the techniques and make them your own.

All materials and kiln firings included.
Classes and workshops at Heritage Art Gallery & Glass Studio are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to insure a place in the course(s) you would like to take.
Confirmation
For multiple-week course, you may receive an email with class reminder and other information for your specific class approximately one week prior to the first class. All classes that meet once, no reminders are sent. Make sure you remember that class(s) to which you have registered as no refunds will be made.
Cancellation
If a class is cancelled by the studio, a full refund will be issued.
For cancellations made more than one week prior the start of class a full refund, less a 10% nonrefundable and nontransferable registration fee, will be made.
For cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of class, NO refund will be made.
For no-shows, NO refund will be made.
Take-Home kits
Take home kits returned by Wednesday will be ready for pick-up by Saturday with the exceptions of the votive dish which will need a week for extra firing.
Completed Projects
Take-home kits and studio class projects must be picked-up during shop hours and within 2 weeks for completion.
Any project left longer than 3 months with be discarded.
